PARK RULES
By agreeing and signing the booking form you have entered into a contract with us in which you undertake on behalf of yourself and the people in your party (including children) to abide by the following rules. This will enable everyone to have a happy and safe holiday.
Behaviour
Please act courteously and considerately towards us, our staff, and other guests. Bad language, unruly behaviour, and loud music/television will not be tolerated.
We will not tolerate arguments that lead to heated exchanges in the park. If such an event should occur, we will ask both parties to leave the park, and under such circumstances, we will be discharged of all liability. NO REFUNDS. While alcohol is permitted, it may only be consumed on your pitch. Please do not walk around with open cans, bottles, glasses, etc. Anyone acting in an unruly or aggressive manner will be asked to leave the park.
Noise
Quiet hours are from 10.30 pm to 08.00 am, and absolute quiet is by MIDNIGHT. Please respect your fellow guests and keep noise to an absolute minimum. Please remember that sound carries at night, and awnings are no barrier to the noise. All music-making devices must be switched off by 10.30 pm. Voices can be just as loud at night and can be disturbing to those wishing to sleep.
Park security will also monitor noise levels during the evening rounds.
Ball Games
Ball games are only allowed on the large area of grass by the play park. Ball games will be stopped if they hit/or cause a nuisance to caravans, tents etc.
Safety
The River is a wonderful asset to the park, but it can also be dangerous. It is your responsibility to ensure children are supervised at ALL times.
No electric bikes/scooters/segway carts, etc. allowed on the park.
Do not put BBQs or cooking/heating appliances in tents and awnings!
Cycles are permitted; please ride with care and consideration for other park users. Do not ride on the grass between pitches. Cycles are prohibited on the farmer’s land (old railway line West of the caravan park).
NO chimaeras, wood-burning stoves or open fires are allowed. NO Chinese lanterns
Shower Blocks
Do not allow your children to play in or around toilet blocks or the waste disposal areas.
Visitors
ALL visitors must report to reception and pay applicable rates.
Cars
There is a 5MPH SPEED LIMIT ON THE PARK. Only one vehicle is allowed to be parked on your pitch. If you bring more than one car, it must be parked in the car park for £5 per night; tickets are available from reception.
No commercial vehicles on your pitch, these must be left on the car park; however there will be no charge if this is your only vehicle.
Tidiness
Please leave your pitch as you found it. Bottle banks are provided to help with recycling. Please do not put hot coals into the bins.
Dogs
Keep your dog on a lead at ALL times on the park and surrounding farmland. We have a separate “dog walk” where they can run free. PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG. If you do not, you will be asked to leave the site.
Walks
Please do not walk along the old railway line to Richmond, as this is private land. There is a public footpath into Richmond; directions and maps are available from reception.
Gazebos and Awnings
Gazebos are not permitted on the park. Electric heaters are not allowed in awnings.
Insurance
Please ensure that your caravan/vehicle and accessories are adequately insured. The park owner will accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, expense, or injury suffered to belongings or persons, however caused, while on the park.
Fishing
This is available on the River Swale on our campsite. To fish you must obtain a ticket from reception.
Games Room
Please observe the rules in the Games room. STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL TO BE CONSUMED IN OR AROUND THE GAMES ROOM AT ANY TIME.
Shop
Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult (over 16) at all times in the shop.
Children
Please supervise your children at all times, especially by the river and in the play area. Make sure they do not cause any damage to the park, as you will be liable for payment for any repairs. Do not allow children to climb, break or damage the trees and bushes. We insist that everyone under the age of 18 is in the company of their parents/guardians by DUSK every night. This includes the shower and toilet blocks (the play park is closed at this time/10.30 mid-season)
Removal of Vans
Caravans left on site beyond the period booked will be charged at the current daily pitch rate. Vans may be towed off the pitch and clamped
or otherwise immobilised, pending settlement of any outstanding accounts. Where the van is towed off the pitch, the storage cost is £10.00 per day, and a charge of £50.00 will be made for towing.
Storage
If your caravan is stored on a pitch for use the following weekend, you may leave your awning up, but the park accepts no responsibility. Make sure you unplug the van from the electricity supply.
Refunds
We cannot be held responsible for the weather conditions and will not refund anyone who decides to cancel their stay with us or to leave early.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE PARK RULES WILL LEAD TO EVICTION FROM THE PARK.
We cannot take bookings from unrelated, unsupervised single-gender parties. We reserve the right to terminate or cancel a holiday where the guest has failed to disclose all material facts as required on the booking form. In these circumstances, the park owner shall be discharged from further performance of his obligations. The management reserves the right to refuse admission to any person, caravan, or vehicle. Your signing of the booking form constitutes an agreement of compliance with the rules of the park.
